First thing's first, isn't the bunny towel (big thanks to Aunty Susie for the customizing it!) the cutest thing you've ever seen? Well, other than the fact that my little Leann is probably a tad cuter.. I'm a mom, I'm allowed to be biased. lol.
Anyways, my little sunshine bunny turned 6 weeks a few days ago. She's more awake, more curious, more willing to smile and coo at Mommy and Daddy (especially Daddy) and definitely more cheeky. In addition to all those, she amazes me with how fast she learns and absorbs everything around her.
Only at 2 weeks plus, she was already able to tell her days from her nights and was sleeping steady 2-3 hour segments throughout the day. And just a few days ago, she slept for 6 hours through the night. Well, that was kinda one-off, 'cos the next day she had to go get her 6 weeks immunization jab and was left with a fever, so Mommy had to wake her up every 3 hours to make sure she was well hydrated. *Now fingers crossed that when she recovers she'll go back to sleeping through the night for Mommy and Daddy*
At 4 weeks, she knows morning is for playing, so she'll open her eyes and stay awake everyday when the clock strikes 5am! Baby girl, if only you knew that Mommy's understanding of 'morning' actually only begins at 8am. Thinking that she's a big girl now, she likes to sleep on her sides and refuses to be swaddled during the day. She loves to stretch and rarely sleeps through a feed whenever it's bright. Oh, somehow she loves lying down on the sofa listening to the TV or watching Daddy play Counter Strike on his laptop and having either Mommy or Daddy spend some time chatting to her. She talks back for God's sake, and if we take a video of us without recording the sound, you'll probably think we were having a proper conversation.
And just before she turned 6 weeks, she's learnt that by capturing the hearts of Daddy, Goong Goong, Popo and Mommy (exactly in that order, mind you), the world's her oyster. Daddy loves her to bits, Goong Goong and Popo spoil her rotten, and Mommy... well, Mommy's just her personal milk production factory. lol.
I guess life can be unfair sometimes... =)
Love you Baby girl... xoxo
