Confessions of a Birthday Planner Mom: Little Miss Two's Birthday Party

Lovely Petit Fours. Check out the chocolate mousse with raspberry & gooseberry toppings, doesn't it look awesome? None of us (husband, mother, father, and I) had any of the cakes because it was all gone by the time we had time to sit down!

Isn't this amazing? A piñata cake with fresh blueberries inside!

A surprise gift from JeanChow, a "family portrait" fondant cake. Little Miss Not A Princess Bébé kept on pointing to the cake and shouted, "daddy, mommy, Lele!"

Cakes: Jean Chow (please email me for details if you're looking for yummy and pretty cakes)
Yumminess: 9/10
Prettiness: 9/10
Service: 10/10
Verdict: The Petit Fours were so beautifully prepared that most of my guests kept taking pictures of them. Everything was delicious and not yeeky at all (you know the feeling when you eat a "rich" cake and feel so uncomfortable after that?), not to sweet and absolutely perfect for taste, even my mother in law who hates cream, actually said the strawberry cream petit four was yummy.  The vendor even personally drove up to deliver and set up the cakes. Definitely 10 thumbs up for overall rating!

How cute are these macarons? There's yellow birds with Durian flavour and blue birds with Cempedak (jackfruit) flavour. They were really yummy too!

Yumminess: 9/10
Prettiness: 9/10
Service: 2/10
Verdict: The macarons were both yummy (wasn't too sweet, which is good) and pretty, everyone was raving about it (I think mainly for the design). I ordered 50, but ran out of it before the party even fully started so some guests didn't even get a whiff of the lovely thing. Too bad the service (during purchasing and pick up) was way below expectation, and a little arrogant in my opinion. I probably wouldn't go back to them again, but then I haven't found any other macaron shops that sells uniquely designed macaroons such as these. So maybe I'll just have to suck it up if I ever decide to purchase from them again... or maybe not.

And some random pics from the day... Didn't get to snap any pictures to be honest, too busy and exhausted running around...
